Conveyancing Plus: An Award-Winning Team

with Conveyancing Plus

When elocal editor Mykeljon Winckel needed legal advice in relation to selling his mother’s house, the team at Conveyancing Plus were there to help, even visiting his beloved mother to find out exactly what she needed and how they could help. “It’s the personal touch that makes us a cut above the rest,” says director and owner Bobbie-jo Butler.

Fresh from winning the ‘Best in Business - Professional Services’ award at the annual Pukekohe Business Awards, Bobbie-jo believes the secret to the business’ success “has to be mainly due to the staff we have employed. We pride ourselves in being customer focused first and foremost.”

Butler opened her first Conveyancing Plus firm in Waiuku six years ago, before expanding out to Pukekohe in 2016 and then Papakura. She originally spent 15 years working in various law firms before completing her diploma of conveyancing and opening her own business.

The staff at the Waiuku, Pukekohe and Papakura branches have each been employed due to their friendly and approachable personalities, as well as their experience and interest in property law. Bobbie-jo has ensured that each of her colleagues are well versed in property law and each of the staff members are studying for their conveyancing qualifications and regularly updating their legal skills.

The team specialises in anything relating to personal, residential and commercial property law, from wills and trusts to property agreements and refinancing as well as buying and selling property, subdivisions, leases and tenancies, financing and refinancing, powers of attorney and company formation documentation.

When it comes to property law, “we are often surprised to hear how many people don’t have legal representation when it comes to buying a property. Thanks to our exceptional service, we often get repeat referrals from the same real estate agents, who are dealing with people that don’t have anyone to refer their legal requirements to.”

But, Bobbie-jo says, you don’t have to be referred by anyone to visit the friendly team. “Just pop in anytime. We have an open-door policy and enjoy having a chat with prospective clients. We don’t charge anything for a chat.”

In terms of property law, the team is finding that more customers are coming in wanting to get advice on leasehold and shared-property arrangements. “In some cases, one party might want to live at the property and the other might want to work there and we need to ensure that both owners are covered for any future changes of arrangements. We need to find out what would happen if one owner stops paying rates or goes bankrupt? What if one gets into a relationship and doesn’t want to own the property anymore? We want to make sure that both of our customers are happy with their decision.”

Most importantly, each of the staff members say they enjoy seeing the smile on their customers faces when the sale has gone through and they can hand over the keys. “Some of our customers worry that it is going to be a difficult process, but we walk beside them the whole way and handle the whole process, so they don’t have to worry about anything.”

With new legislation always going through, Conveyancing Plus continues to be the best choice, in terms of knowledge, customer service and value for money. “We check everything our clients want to achieve and make sure we do our due diligence, so that our customers have no concerns or legal implications later down the track. This is why so many of our customers come back when they go on to buy their next property too.”

With eight years’ experience in the industry, Conveyancing Plus is your local business, supporting local people in their pursuit to reach their financial goals. Not only will the staff at Conveyancing Plus offer excellent advice, they also ensure that everything is dealt with promptly, bank details are all completed, documents are signed, legal forms are arranged, and all legal expectations are covered.

“Our fixed price schedule for standard residential property transactions is designed to take the stress out of completing your property transfer or refinance, giving you complete confidence that there will be no hidden costs or nasty surprises.”
