It’s Never Been Cheaper to Build Your Own Home!

The price we quote you is the price you'll pay

with Stroud Homes Pokeno Pukekohe

Knowing that customers were the main focus for any of Stroud Homes customers was perhaps the deciding factor for local builder Mike Wilson when he was deciding whether to take over the franchise in the area.

“I’ve been building for over 16 years, and I have always given every job the very best I can to make sure that the customer is kept happy, so Stroud Homes total focus on the customer and their whole model and philosophy build around that seemed like a logical progression for me.” says Mike.

Stroud Homes originated in Australia when the leading franchise of GJ Gardner, James Stroud, struck out on his own, after successive knockbacks when he tried to improve the systems and homes within the existing franchise model. Growing from strength to strength in both Australia and New Zealand, Mike Wilson has taken on the South Auckland Franchise based out of Pukekohe and is keen to help locals into their own dream homes.

With 33 successful franchises in Australia and 6 in New Zealand, the Stroud Homes franchise is a name fast becoming associated with style, quality, attention to detail and trust. With a trusted builder like Mike at the helm of the team, who has over 16 years experience in the building trade, choosing to build your home with Mike and Stroud is a decision you can feel confident in.

One of the main things they stand by is their promise that the price they quote you is the price you will pay.

All Stroud Homes are pre-priced with up to 81 standard inclusions to take the guesswork out of building. As a customer with Stroud, you will know upfront exactly what your home will look like and how much it will cost. They have an extensive quality range of fittings, colours, and finishes which ultimately means your finished home will look and feel anything but standard.

“From the consenting process, organising site and build insurance, structural, exterior materials, electrical, painting, appliances in bathrooms and kitchen through to details like taps, towel rails, power points and smoke detectors, we will quote you on a price and that price will remain fixed throughout the whole build process.”

With Stroud Homes, you can either buy off the many plans they have available, over 100 in fact, or you can engage them to build a custom build just for you. Their plans range from the smaller, compact designs, perfect for newer housing estates, such as the Aria, Fantail and Kingfisher plans, through to the positively palatial Piha, Pohutakawa or even Rimu plans (the Rimu comes with a granny flat!)

“The range of plans we have makes sure that we have something that caters for everybody, and includes many details and enhancements that we know work well for our customers, such as a child’s retreat area as part of the bedroom wings, or media room, or even wet areas near to outside entry points.”

Once you have decided on a plan with Stroud Homes, the skilled team of contractors and project managers take over. Making sure you are kept up to date over the 20 week build guarantee with regular updates using videos calls and guided tours through the build every Friday.

“All our contractors are local and passionate about their jobs; they are all hand picked based on their commitment to the job and their skill to complete their work in a timely and professional manner. Everyone at Stroud comes to work each day and completes their tasks as if they were working on their own home.”

This fact is perhaps why when you build with Stroud, you get a final double check of quality craftsmanship before you take over your own home. It isn’t enough to have council sign off, or even the project managers sign off for a project. Once all those things are checked and approved, every Stroud home is checked and certified by an independent builder prior to handover. Something Mike is happy to stand by.

“I am proud to show off our finished projects to others in the industry, it means everything to have peer approval upon completion of a project and with it, our customers know that they are getting the very best of quality when they take over ownership of their home.”

Mike is looking forward to showing off the team’s workmanship at the new Display Centre in Pukekohe and invites everyone to come and see why building a Stroud Home is the answer to building a house that feels like home.
