All Your Automotive Needs Under One Roof!

with Ebbett Pukekohe

In a little under four months, the team at Ebbett Pukekohe will move into their brand new purpose built facility that will give all their clients a one stop shop when it comes to everything automotive. Whether you need a new car, a part for an existing one, an annual service or just a car wash the place to go will be the Ebbett Autovillage on Svendsen Road, Pukekohe.

It will combine the numerous services currently offered by Ebbett all in one place and Managing Director and Dealer Principal Ross Sheppard couldn’t be any more excited about what this means for Ebbett’s customers.

“The total site area is about 14,044m2 but the Ebbett Autovillage is so much more than just creating a large car dealership. Customers can expect a much bigger showroom space in which to view more of the range of all the brands we represent. The service centre will also occupy four times the space of the current workshop so we are able to offer greater capacity and faster turnaround for servicing of vehicles, up to 90 a day. We will have room for 350-400 vehicles, 28 workshop hoists, 2 car washes and chargers for customers to charge their EV’s. It is one of the largest commercial developments in Pukekohe.”

Ross has been with the Ebbett Group for over 20 years, the company has been around since 1928 and in that time has weathered some of the most volatile business periods in history. Ross is a strong believer in building a business on family values and together with his team believes that every customer becomes part of the larger Ebbett family. A true family man, Ross credits the success of the venture in part to the support of his family, in particular his wife Duan. “Duan is always there, through the good times, and the hard times, The automotive industry is such a great industry, but comes with its daily challenges, Lockdowns, Supply Constraints, forever changing landscape. Through it all, she is always there supporting me.”

The theme of family flows through to the range of vehicles that the new Autovillage will offer. They remain loyal and committed to a long-term relationship to their Holden customers and their vehicles, but since General Motors announced that they would be retiring the Holden brand in Australasia in 2020, Ebbett has replaced the brand with an even stronger range with the addition of MG, Volkswagen and Kia. Together with the top performing Nissan choice of models, there is something for everyone at Ebbetts whether it be the traditional ute or one of the newer hybrid or fully electric models.

The push for cleaner cars has seen the New Zealand Government introduce the Clean Car Discount scheme with the aim to reduce transport emissions to help meet the country’s 2050 carbon neutral target. This will consist of rebates and fees for new and used eligible vehicles the first time they are registered in New Zealand, based on CO2 emissions.

“All our brands are top performers and at the cutting edge in terms of technology and being reactive to the push for cleaner travel options. New models from Kia, Like the EV6 and MG’s New ZS EV have entered the market and all qualify for the Government’s Clean Car scheme in some way. But we will still have the models that utilise petrol and diesel.”

Ross encourages anyone in the market to give his team a call and find out exactly what the team at Ebbett’s Pukekohe can do for their automotive needs.
